2019 Ken Weber Servant Leadership Award

For nearly 25 years, Marianna Paprocki has dedicated her career to adult education, first with Canton City Schools and for the last thirteen years as a member of Goodwill’s mission services team.

Marianna leads Goodwill’s adult literacy program at The Ken Weber Community Campus, working to empower individuals to reach their educational goals, providing a solid foundation for their personal growth.

“Marianna’s dedication to our mission, passion for the people we serve, and commitment to our values make her an excellent example of servant leadership,” commented Vice President of Mission Services Mark Trew. “We are grateful for her contributions and proud to have her on our team!”

2019 Collaborative Partner Award

Refuge of Hope is a men’s shelter located in downtown Canton. The shelter provides not only housing but free meals for community members in need, along with clothing assistance and housing needs. 

Refuge of Hope has partnered with Goodwill Industries to provide much needed services to their clients. During meals on Fridays, Goodwill staff are on site at the shelter to provide social service navigation, bus passes, emergency vouchers and connection to employment programming.

2019 Employer of the Year

Cracker Barrel Old Country Store in North Canton maintains their corporate culture by focusing on fairness, mutual respect and equal opportunities for all people. 

Cracker Barrel supports the community it serves by partnering with Goodwill Industries to hire individuals who face barriers to employment. The company has welcomed Goodwill Employment Specialists into the restaurant who provide on-the-job support, job retention and individual employment support to participants. 

Cracker Barrel has become a valued community partner of Goodwill and is deserving of the award of Employer of the Year.
